Windows bandwidth monitoring with Netstat Live

It would be handy to have some method to know the Internet usage and the bandwidth availability, since most of the Internet providers limit the user with a cap transfer.

Netstat Live is one such application which gives the user, the available bandwidth, the throughput of download and upload data, irrespective of using either a modem, cable modem, DSL, or even local network.

The application even graphs the CPU usage, the speed of transfer of data from one computer to another and much more.

The application is available for free download and the installation is easy.

Once installed start the application from
Start > All programs > AnalogX > Netstat Live > Netstat Live
Netstat

Right click and select configure
Netstat

All options are disabled by default. Enable Auto Minimize, Auto Start and Close Minimize.

This allows the application to start when Windows is loaded, and remains minimized on the system tray. It can be maximized for viewing the usage details and the X button would minimize it back to the tray.

It is advisable that the application is always running so that accurate download and upload data details could be available.

For multiple systems sharing the same Internet connection via LAN etc, install the application on every system and add up the individual usages to get the total final value.

The user can customize the application according to his requirements by disabling or enabling services like CPU usage monitor, System Threads, Remote machine.
